In its fourth year running, IndieCade’s International Festival of Independent Games is bringing publishers and developers from all walks of the industry to embrace the indie games’ culture and success. The festivities started yesterday October 3rd with tutorial summits, but the real focus of IndieCade kicks off tomorrow with the actual Game Festival.
The IndieCade Festival in Culver City, California added 50 more games to their showcase line-up making over 200 games available to play from the early morning to the stroke of midnight. Festival goers will experience the indie titles up for awards at IndieCade, incredible student projects submitted to the festival and even participate in IndieCade’s first ever eSports tournament.
The big shots like Sony and Nintendo and Kickstarter prodigies like Ouya and Oculus Rift will make appearances at the festival to show what they are doing for the Indie development community. Everything they show off will also be playable for attendees so you can whet your appetite for some upcoming gaming greatness.
Next-gen console gaming might nearly be upon us, but don’t think indie games aren’t worth your time. Plenty of innovative games to suit gaming enthusiasts from all genres. If you can’t make it out to Cali, check at some of the great titles at IndieCade here.
