Sir, You Are Being Hunted, a survival sim in development at Big Robot, will open up its alpha release to backers on August 19th of this year — that’s everyone who preordered and backed the project. The announcement was made in the latest video released by the studio below.
Sir, You Are Being Hunted may not be on your radar — most likely because it’s a crowd-funded indie still in development — but it should be. The best way I can sum it up is that it is a procedurally-generated open world game in which you try to evade the relentless pursuit of top-hat-wearing, aristocratic robots, who patrol the British-inspired countryside. It’s stealth and survival, a mixture of scavenging, hiding in bushes, and shooting. The latter begs for conservative use though.
Sir was Kickstarted in November of last year, and as of now, has been undergoing playtesting by a select few of the game’s Kickstarter backers. It is set to release later this year for PC.
Here’s the game’s development blog, and I’ll post a few videos below to get you caught up.

And here is the first of a few gameplay walkthroughs, also commentated by Jim, which contain more action and may be more entertaining.
