I’m sure there is nothing worse as a space janitor then finding yourself on the run from a giant worm. In Golden Ruby Games latest title Worm Run for iOS you play Zeke Tallahassee a space janitor who finds himself stuck endlessly running form a nasty slimy giant space worm. With the help of his special space boots Zeke has to traverse a never-ending course that is littered with obstacles.

The game is fairly simple to play. Gamers just have to swipe in any direction to move Zeke through the paths in front of him. Double swiping will activate his space boots boost ability allowing him to move vertically. The gameplay is very similar to Jetpack Joyride, but a bit more challenging since it’s up to you to keep Zeke’s movement going. Plus unlike Jetpack Joyride you have to deal with the path going up and down. When you hit vertical parts fo the course you’ll need to mix in the use of your space boots boosters plus jumping off the walls. Using the boosters to much will drain their power and find you falling to almost certain doom. As you make your way through the maze you’ll be able to pick up Grubies which you can spend on different enhancements and items to make your quest of running from the giant worm easier.

The game is very addicting. Trying to one up your friends distances will give you a constant goals to work for. Plus the fact that you’ll never face the same path the content and challenge is always different. The one complaint I had is that due to the fact that you have to move in multiple axis the camera needed to be much further back from the action which makes Zeke and the Grubies very tiny on the screen. In Jetpack Joy Ride we are close to the action because of the auto movement and not having to see in multiple directions what is coming up.

Even with the far off view the game is still highly addicting and simple to pick up and play. For .99 on the App Store it’s a great title that you’ll spend tons of time playing.
