I have to admit I’m still really enjoying Think Tank. Smart people doing clever things makes for a fun read.  That said, Think Tank #3 is a bit of a tease.  While we do get to see some of the breakout process that was hinted at in Think Tank #2 we also get a look back at Dr Loren’s first attempts at non-lethal weapons and the unintended consequences they had.  We also get a look at why even though he is so smart he would open up to a girl he just met at a bar. While I was hoping for a full issue on his complex breakout plan these sections were interesting as we see the motivations behind why he would want to leave.

The actual breakout was a variation on a classic that we’ve seen in plenty of movies.  Still,  his little tweaks to it were quite fun.  I don’t want to spoil how it, but the portion we saw went pretty much according to his plan. However, the escape is just getting started and once he is out he would still be on the run for the rest of his life.  I think next episode things are going to get tough so we’ll get to see if Dr Loren is really smart enough out think the whole military and other scientists.

I wanted to also mention that I’m really enjoying the pages after the story that goes over the science of the devices used in that issue. Even the more science fiction stuff has a basis in reality which makes the story more believable. I don’t have any idea how the story will play out with David and his new girl, Mirra, but that suspense is part of what makes it enjoyable. Will this be a tragedy, a love story, or an action packed escape story?  To early to tell and I’m fine with that.
