Today BioWare rolled out SWTOR update 1.5 to the PTS (Public Test Server). Part of the update includes some of the new free to play content, most notably the new F2P currency Cartel Coins. Everyone who enters the PTS will get a handful of coins to test out the Cartel system. BioWare says the system is still a work in progress and based off feedback people are already leaving on their forums the prices might be tweaked quite a bit. With past Star Wars the Old Republic updates the update went to the live servers a few weeks after hitting the PTS, due to the vast many changes with 1.5 the testing might go on a bit longer then normal. There are still a ton of questions surrounding the Free to Play option most notably what will happen if you already purchased some of the add-ons that will now cost Cartel Coins.
