The Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith – Spiral series is still a little weird for me. I’m having trouble getting use to a Star Wars story where there are no Jedi, but instead multiple factions of Sith. I still think the story could have been told without being part of the Star Wars universe, but I am really enjoying the large amount of battles. We’ve got three different groups going and all of them are fighting with the others. That part is pretty fun as you never know who is going to face what opponent next.
If it were not for the battles and fighting I might not have kept with this series through as it is rather confusing. There are just too many characters that are trying to get their back stories explained at the same time. I think I’m following along and then people who I thought were enemies are suddenly working together and I missed why. I am having to read each panel very carefully and slowly which is not how I like to read.
In the first 2 issues of Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith – Spiral there was one “bad guy” but in #3 we get a new villain. While this chance caught me by surprise the new guy is way more fun. He is by far the most powerful person in the comic and he is not afraid to use his power. Near the end he reveals a couple things that I’m really looking forward to seeing out into action in Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith – Spiral #4.
At this point I figure I’m going to be somewhat confused throughout this whole story, but I think I’m ok with that. So long as they keep up the unique fights that have been going on so far.
