Well, the Star Wars: Knight Errant – Escape arc has come to a close and I’m still a little undecided about it.  Without spoiling too much we do get our “happy ending” that readers are going to expect in a Jedi story.  It did not wrap up how I thought it would though.  Kerra is still somewhat useless as a Jedi.  She nearly gets killed more than once in this series and mostly it is just luck that saves her.  I would have preferred a hero that seems like they are able to at least handle themselves in a fight.

Still this issue and the Star Wars: Knight Errant – Escape series as  a whole was a different take on the Star Wars universe for me.  Even with all the Sith in the story we find that there is some goodness in people.  Which is a little weird when you compare that to the Sith in the Star Wars movies, but I suppose somewhat realistic.  Not every Jedi can be Yoda and so not every Sith would be Darth Vader or Darth Maul. Even if Kerra is not up to the level of Yoda I still would have liked to see her at least do something.  Over half the time she is just a prisoner along for the ride.

This issue had a few moments that were stood out to me because they were really funny.  I don’t remember there being really any funny moments in the previous 4 issues.  Maybe I just am forgetting them at this point, but I don’t think so.  If you’re looking for something in the Star Wars universe that is a little different then the Star Wars: Knight Errant – Escape story arc is worth checking out, but if you prefer more traditional Star Wars stories you might want to skip it.
