Each year, a weekend in October there is a little thing called comic con held. For the last two comic con and this year there has been a graphic novel called Silver Circle there. And this is probably the most important year for them. After building up a fan base between Facebook and Twitter, they have finally dropped their 148 page graphic novel. Then in Janurary of 2013 the movie will be coming out in theaters.
Lets begin with the novel which you usually don’t hear a graphic novel talk about World Banks, The Fed, or Inflation everyday. It follows a very straight edge detective who plays by the book. There is no way of giving him a bribe. He was moved to the Housing Department after almost breaking corrupt people in his previous job. The novel takes place where paper money is getting printed every second and is worth nothing. Silver and Gold have been banned.
Our Detective Jay is being picked by the rebels to help them with their cause. They wanna blow up the Fed and try and make people think different. This novel has a V for Vendetta feel to it. And the novel is a very good read. I read the whole thing in one sitting. Can this rebel group really bring down the government or even make a dent in the world?
Now on to the movie. The trailer to the movie can be seen below. It will be coming out in Janurary. It is basically the novel but they will be some scenes added. Theres some things after reading that you hope would be explained more. There is no mention of Gold, and I was hoping for more of the back story of the Detective.
Silver Circle is a novel for anybody that is looking for a good read or into goverenment issues. With references to World Banks and The Fed, it also teaches you about government. You can like them on Facebook HERE. And check out the novel at this site www.silvercirclemovie.com.
