KontrolFreek is gearing up for the two big FPS games of the year, Halo 4 and Call of Duty Black Ops 2. For gamers looking to gain a bit of an edge and add some style to their Xbox 360 controller there will be two new thumbstick adapters available, the INFINITIY and the HAVOC. I’ve had the chance to spend some time with these two new KontrolFreek products and once again I’m amazed with their style and performance.
The FPS Freek INFINITY which is available now is the latest in the FPS Freek line and is themed for Halo 4. While the HAVOC is themed for Call of Duty Black Ops 2. Both look really good and represent both games well. The INIFITY is a concave blue thumbstick adapter which sports the Spartan emblem. The HAVOC on the other hand is a black concave thumbstick with the Nuketown radiation symbol and COD skull.
As for feel under your thumbs, the INFINITY seems to be a hard rubber allowing your thumbs to slip off the thumbstick a bit, while the HAVOC has a bit more grip and my thumbs seemed to stay in place a lot better. Both adapters have the same height so they both give you the same amount of added precision.
If you are looking to add a bit of style to your Xbox 360 controller and want to show your love for HALO 4 or Call of Duty Black Ops 2 you’ll want to check these thumbsticks out from KontrolFreek. The added height will help those hardcore gamers increase their accuracy a bit but the real draw for both of these are the style. Personally I’m still in love with the last KontrolFreek release, the CQC Signature Series, as I like the lower profile and added thumb grip.
