When I saw the director of Friday the 13th and Texas Chainsaw Massacre was behind a comic, I knew it was one I had to read. With two horror movies that are well known, I was expecting a horror comic to get me ready for Halloween. Well I was disappointed that the comic isn’t a scary hack and slash comic but a story about a boy who has powers unknown to him.

The comic picks up with Monks visiting Ryan. At this time he is just a boy but picks the right item. This means the Monks need to take him away but the parents will not allow this. So the Monks do the next best thing and kidnap him. Ryan has special powers but does he even know what he has inside him?

Threw out the rest of the comic we see Ryan growing up and falling in love. His teen years are for most a time of growing up. But you can see the way he acts to the way he is confused. He is like any teenager boy but knows there is more. We see at the end some light to his story but we have to wait for the next issue to get more.
