Star Wars: Darth Maul – Death Sentence #3 was interesting because we get to see Darth Maul in situations where he is not fighting. As he prepares to lead the local population in a fight to reclaim their home we see him begin to turn them to be more like he is. We don’t see in issue #3 if they have all truly become cold and heartless killers, but it seems like at least some of them have. Those that do not will probably become cannon fodder in the battle to come.
At the same time we see the Jedi working from within the mining complex to see what they can do to help the locals. They however seem fairly timid and do not want to upset someone who was a valued trade partner. It sounds like Obi Wan will be joining them soon so hopefully in issue #4 they will be less a bunch of babies. Yet, this series is about Darth Maul so we’ll have to see how that plays out.
Star Wars: Darth Maul – Death Sentence #3 ends with the battle beginning and Darth Maul using it to get inside the complex to exact his revenge. What happens with his army we don’t get to see yet. Will they continue fighting and even take on the Jedi or will they realized the backed a Sith in their desperate hope to regain their homes? I homes l have no idea which it will be, but however it plays out I suspect it will be with some fun twists.
