8/14 – Darksiders II (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) – The sequel to 2010′s action-adventure game in which you play as another one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, Death.
Sleeping Dogs (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) – Square-Enix’s new sandbox IP that was originally part of the True Crime series and features role-playing elements and a focus on hand-to-hand combat.
Papo & Yo (PSN) – Originally announced at E3 2011, Papo & Yo is an action/fantasy game that has the player figure out their monster buddy’s emotions in order to figure out puzzles and progress in the game.
The Last Story (Wii) – RPG that uses a real-time combat system along with cover, and also features a co-op and versus mode, a rarity for the JRPG genre.
8/15 – Dust: An Elysian Tail (XBLA) – The long awaited action RPG game that won Microsoft’s 2009 Dream.Build.Play challenge and features hand-animated and painted graphics.
