2K Games announced this week that Borderlands 2 will be getting 4 campaign DLC packs once the game launches for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. These four add-on content campaigns will each feature several hours of gameplay and introduce new adventures, allies, enemies and environments. They will retail individually for $9.99 (PlayStation Network) / 800 MS Points (Xbox LIVE online entertainment network) / $9.99 (PC). However gamers can save a few bucks by purchasing the Borderlands 2 Season Pass for $29.99 (PlayStation Network) / 2400 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE) / $29.99 (PC). Like other season passes for games, gamers will get all the DLC content which are all due to launch by June 2013.
I must say I’m really starting to warm up to these season pass deals as they add a decent amount of content to games, and we save a few bucks. Only downside is we really don’t know what the content holds this far out, so as long as developers don’t skimp on the gaming goodness of the DLC, gamers will be happy slapping down the extra cash upfront.
