San Diego Comic Con was once about comics, but now everything from movies, to video games is under the roof at the convention center. But this year a comic has become front and center. Yes people were line up for days for Twilight but The Walking Dead is a comic and has everybody talking about it. Not only did the 100th issue dropped the same day as comic con but where ever you turn, you can find something Walking Dead. And this year right across from the convention center is PetCo Park and that is where they are holding The Walking Dead Escape.
The Walking Dead Escape takes PetCo Park and transforms it to a zombie ruins. And you need to make it out alive. The experience was roughly 35 minutes. This was about what they told us before we entered. Most of the help were saying it be about 45 minutes. They really do a great job at getting the mood set. We enter with a FEMA person being able to contain two of the zombies. But can we really trust our government to protect us? Well the short answer is NO, and the FEMA person is attacked and well it is time to survive.
There is a short entrance that we all need to make it through, to make sure we are not gonna get eaten. Everybody is pushing and pulling, is there any hope of working together? For the next 35 minutes, you are on a zombie filled course. Theres are moments when there may be no zombies and certain moments that you are jumping, diving and weaving your way from the zombies. They do try and touch you, which will make you affected and give you a different ending at the game.
The course worked nicely in the baseball stadium. They took their time and set everything up and gave us a challenge. You will get winded at the end of this. Theres rope climbing, crawling and if you want jumping over barriers. If you ever wanted to get chased by zombies now if your chance.
