The Cape 1969 is entering its second issue and we are starting to see more of a developing story in this issue. In the first issue we saw Captain Chase getting trapped in enemy territory. We didn’t really see why this comic is called the cape in that issue but more information is brought to us in this one.
We see Captain Chase being caged like he was an animal and not a human being. Not only is he being caged like an animal but he also is stuck in the cage with somebody else. At this time a young boy comes across that can speak perfect english. We find out early in the comic that Captain Chase is being held not only by the enemy but the enemy has Americans with him. Now we have yet to find out if the Americans are with the enemy or if they are traders but we can only imagine.
As the comic goes we start to see that there is Magic involved with the other person in the cage. Does this magic help Captain Chase? We also get some flashbacks of when Captain Chase was a kid and we see some of the power of this Cape he wears. I really hope we see more of this mystery Cape in the next issue. The series is developing at a good pace but I want more or do I just want issue three now?
