I’ve been enjoying the Star Wars: Blood Ties – Boba Fett is Dead series so far, and this final issue brings all our characters together in the same place. Things pick up with Boba Fett tracking down his “killer” who in turn is hunting his half-brother, Connor,  and his ex-wife. For their part they are hiding in a safe house. Despite having Boba Fett’s name in the title this story is just as much about Connor, and I enjoyed seeing him finally put all the pieces of the puzzle together in this issue.

Despite having some great leading characters I think my favorite might still be Ailyn.  She is hilarious.  Even though it is not  major plot point I did enjoy in this issue when Boba Fett uses his reputation to not only skip fighting someone but also then hires the same person to work for him. All this while fighting a squad of enemies intent on killing him.  He is the definition of bad ass.

Connor and Sintas Vel’s were also fun together as both try not to get to close to the other (each for different reasons) but while still working together to stay alive.  This tension of trusting each other without wanting to get too involved played out well.  It helped that Ailyn was there with them to add some comedic elements.

The main story arcs did not end how I was expecting but the writers did wrap it up in a very satisfying matter.  All the loose ends and plot lines converged and then twisted a little, but still readers get a “happy ending” without betraying the toughness of Boba Fett. I’ve not heard what is next for the Star Wars: Blood Ties series, but I’m looking forward to whatever is up next.
