During Comic-Con there is as much stuff outside as there is inside. A lot of the video game companies rent out the lobbies and show off their games. For the new Family Guy game they actually rented a party bus to show off the game.
I always have my doubts about games that are based on tv shows. Especially beloved ones like Family Guy and how will the fans react. Will they be able to get the jokes across on the console and how will they use the characters? After seeing the first level, I can say that all Family Guy fans can rest easy.
The game follows Brian and Stewie as they go through the multiverse. Which is a very popular episode amongst Family Guy fans. In each of the 10 levels they are looking at ways to stop Bertram. There were cameos of the different character and jokes from the show. The two levels we got to see where an Amish theme and Handicap theme one. Each of the levels had jokes from previous episodes inside. This game is made for the fans and you will really enjoy the attention to detail.
Both characters with a different abilities that will help gamers in different situations. For example if Stewie drinks a soda, he goes into hyper mode and shoots quicker. The only down side to the title I saw, was there were no co-op moves. With these two great characters, I think that would have been super cool for the fans. Maybe take the episode where they were super-glued together which would force you to work in tandem.
Bottom-line Family Guy has been captured to the T and fans of the series are going to have a blast playing the game later this year.
