I look forward to the Orchid releases now. I am marking them on the calendar because in each issue the story is becoming more in-depth and we are seeing why Orchid is the main character. In the last issue we saw the group get away from Tomo Wolfe. Wolfe, as some would call him the dictator of the land, wants these people dead. They escaped with the mask.
We pick up in this issue with the Shadow Rebels and Orchid trying to escape what looks to be three-story high mechanic spiders. While they escape, her pass haunts Orchid. You can see she is visibly upset over still losing her mother and brother. She has to figure out if there is something worth fighting for and can the rebels and her bring down the powerful Wolfe and his army. Orchid is at crossroads and by the end of the issue we will see her destiny. The artwork is masterfully done in the pages of the book. It really brings you in during the biggest part of the issue.
This issue has to be one of my favorites. It took 8 issues but we finally see Orchid’s destiny and how she is ready to take on the responsibilities that make her who she is. We saw in the early issues she wanted no part of the Shadow Rebels and wanted to leave. She wanted to make sure her brother was safe, after losing her mother. Now with both dead, she wants to get revenge and end the rule of Tomo Wolfe. So when does issue nine come out???
