I was really excited when Hoax Hunters was announced by Image Comics. I love horror movies and any paranormal stuff. So I was excited to see they be some sort of paranormal, monster type comic.
Hoax Hunters started off with a secret brief that some words are blacken out. Hoax Hunters is a show that takes monsters or reported sightings and proves them to be false. Or is it? We see in the first issue that they are monsters and they are just used to cover them up. I guess government money well spent once again. There is also a back story about the lead hunter and his disappearance father.
I know it is the first issue and all but I am having a hard time figuring out if I like the story or not. I was maybe hoping they would go after Lockness or even the Montauk Monster. Which does get mention in here, and I was amazed because that only happen a few towns over from me. I will allow the story to progress and see what happens in issue 2.
