Have you ever wondered what Call of Duty would look like if you were to play it in a Minecraft environment? Well the wait it over because Guncraft is the first FPS game that offers that Minecraft feel yet you get to play a FPS game. Guncraft doesn’t have a campaign this is for online and LAN games only. Well you also have a Free Build mode that allows you to build your own maps. I’m not much of a construction type of guy I rather play on pre-built maps but I gave it a try. I began digging a whole and noticed that it would not end up until the point that I reached the end of the road and I plummeted to my death. You get to have custom classes I went a bit over board and was testing out what was the limit so far there wasn’t any, who needs more than 6 classes anyway.
The entire world of Guncraft is destructible from cars all the way down to the floor you are standing on, careful though you don’t want to dig that hole to deep and die. The aiming system is rather snappier than I thought. I’m still a bit rough considering that I do all of my FPS gaming on my consoles. Below you can see what the Free Build mode looks like. Pretty much its a big empty environment where your imagination is the limit and of course how much time your willing to put into your map.
The over game play is great, I mean it is different from your normal FPS game. The difference being that you are shooting at a Lego type enemy. This game looks promising and it looks like it has great potential. Although there still isn’t a specific release date for Guncraft. You can head on over to Exato Games and sign-up for the free beta.Watch the trailer and check out what Guncraft has to offer.I know I will give this game a go once it is complete.
