Bethesda has released the official Dawnguard trailer for their first downloadable content for Skyrim. This is the first piece of DLC which is amazing considering they have already updated the game to a 1.5 version and also added features like Kinect support. This new content that will be 1600 Microsoft Points also adds in mounted combat, showing that the majority of developers have been doing DLC wrong for a long time now and often.
The only studio that has done a better job than Bethesda in my opinion is Gearbox, adding in new settings, stories, vehicles, and just a load of crazy. I remember a time where studios would release expansion packs that helped give titles a longer lifespan. EA did this with the first Dragon Age when they released Dragon Age: Awakening and I would like to see more developers shy away from cheap $5 additions and take the chance and compile a huge list of additions/updates and really hype the release of their newest stuff.
