Early next year Netflix will be bringing back cult tv show “Arrested Development” and now it seems the streaming media/dvd rental giant is in talks with CBS TV Studios to possibly bring back Jericho for a third season. TV Guide broke the news earlier today about talks between the two companies. For those that don’t know about Jericho, it’s a drama about a small Kansas town, called Jericho and the survival of its residents after multiple nuclear attacks on major US cities. Jericho was canceled after its first season but due to the rabid fan-base and their campaign of sending peanuts(a show reference) to CBS executives the show received a limited second season run.

While these talks are still in the very early stages, the creative team behind the series is obviously willing to continue their work as back in 2009 Executive Producer Jon Turteltaub said he was developing a feature film based off the show. If the deal also goes through it doesn’t seem like it will be to hard to wrangle up the original cast as many have a rather open schedule, lead star Skeet Ulrich was last seen on Law and Order: Los Angeles, and Lennie James was last seen on the series opener of Walking Dead. Needless to say production wouldn’t begin for a good year plus.

If you haven’t seen Jericho I suggest you fire up Netflix and check it out, season one was great and while it was nice to continue the story in season two it was obvious the budget was reduced drastically and wasn’t even given a chance to survive.
