2K Sports announced on May 30th the official release date for NBA 2K13 (October 2nd) and the pre-order bonus (a full suite of All-Star Weekend Mini-Games).
Hold on, that needs some repeating.
A FULL SUITE OF ALL-STAR WEEKEND MINI-GAMES!

This is a huge boon for this title as there have been no true All-Star Weekend festivities for quite some time in this series (previously the 3-Point Shootout and Slam-Dunk Contest were available through add-ons or the oft-neglected “Blacktop Mode”). This year, people who pre-order (or who purchase the DLC presumably available on the date of release) can expect to receive the ability to compete in the Foot Locker Three Point Shootout, BBVA Rising Stars Challenge, and the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest, with current players and legends. Additionally, it appears all of the modes will be dynamically updated with their current participants once the rosters for the events have been announced.
There is one part of the announcement that has me perturbed, however. 2K announced the game for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PSP, PC, and Nintendo Wii, with a Wii-U version available within the Wii-U’s “launch window.” There’s one system missing from that announcement. The Playstation Vita. What do Vita owners have to do to get a proper NBA 2K game?
