In this new video released by Undead Labs, players get their first look at real gameplay in the untitled XBLA game codenamed ‘class3′. The graphics look stellar and the future seems very promising for this studio. The game gives off an Alan Wake feel in terms of movement and combat, obviously it is still a little too early to tell. Just a quick briefing for any newcomers, ‘class3′ is an XBLA title that will be followed up by a game codenamed ‘class4′; a Zombie MMO in development for the Xbox 360. The arcade game at this point will be a two player co-op experience that will showcase features of the MMO but on a smaller scale.
The only concern I have is the actual gun combat. It seems similar to most third person shooters where accuracy and precision isn’t as fine tuned, I could be completely wrong though as I am basing it off of the video and my past experience in third person titles. I personally would like to see an option that allows you to select a more over-the-shoulder type camera for gun combat i.e. Gears of War.
Anyways I am very excited to see how great the game is looking in all aspects. Unfortunately this awesomeness was greeted with some sadness as Emily Diehl, one of the producers is off to new adventures. She was a great person and was nice enough to grant us an interview and write me love letters in her spare time. Judging on how the game looks now, my fingers are crossed for PAX East, we are registered and ready to pretend that we are journalists to play the latest games.
