Undead Labs is following up last week’s article about their studio is handling healing and death in their zombie titles that are in development. One of the two titles is an MMO codenamed ‘class4′ that will be releasing on the Xbox 360.  The other title codenamed ‘class3′ will be an arcade game that will demonstrate the world they will create for the MMO, almost like a scaled down version of the MMO.

As I did with the article last week, where I summarized the information in the article. I will also be doing that for this Q&A, because your lazy and it’s a Saturday.

1. The ideas that are being implemented in Class3 will also be in Class4, and will offer more diverse locations, vehicles, weapons, and survival options.

2. You will have a health bar, but zombies won’t.

3. Health does not regenerate, meaning you better be able to limp your way to safety.

4. Weight matters, not only will you run out of energy quicker from carrying a lot of items, you will also be slowed down based on the weapon you are carrying. It will definitely be cool to coordinate with other players/friends to make sure you have the best shot of survival.

5. Fortifying your location will create noise, be aware that you will attract zombies.

6. Construction is an important part of the game.

7. The game isn’t Minecraft so you won’t be slaving away making YouTube worthy fortresses, but you will need to scavenge for resources for construction.

8. When you are overwhelmed by zombies (die) there is a chance that you can be ‘rescued’ in the game and you will be respawned into a safe area. As I said though there is a chance of it happening. Death is a very real thing that should force you to make better decisions and approach cautiously.

9. You can not control your zombified self.

10. You will not need to order NPCs around i.e. when you are trying to rescue them.

11. You will meet characters in the story in a variety of ways.

12. There will be specializations in the game. Players can have roles in the game, none 100% confirmed yet but classes like a doctor, engineer, soldier, or mechanic are some examples.
