Sony today announced that CinemaNow, Best Buy Co., Inc’s digital movie service, is now available to PSN users in the United States on the PS3. CinemaNow offers new release movies and next day TV episodes available to buy or rent on a pay-per-view basis with no monthly subscription fee. Cinemanow features a growing library of more than 15,000 movies and TV episodes and has content deals with all the major studios and many independent distributors.
Additional features of CinemaNow include:
• Rent HD titles complete with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound
• Stream content instantly to your PS3 system
• Purchases are stored in the cloud and can be played back on any internet connectible device featuring the CinemaNow service
PSN users can download the application now from the “Media & Apps” category in PlayStation Store and launch it from the TV/Video Services icon of XMB (XrossMediaBar).
