If you’re someone that travels a lot with your DS or 3DS games or simply wants to keep them in a safe place that makes them easily accessible, you must be aware of the various cases out there for you to choose from.
I actually bought one of those plastic cases for my games a while back, but I never found myself liking it too much mainly because of its design and difficulty in snapping the games into place. My old plastic case holds 24 games, but it wasn’t as easy to get my games out as I thought it would be.
Enter the 24X DS Game Carry Case by Penguin United.
Made of sturdy premium nylon, the case feels durable enough to protect your games but soft enough to feel good in your hands. Each case comes in an array of colors and can be zipped up to keep your game collection safe and secure. The inside features four see-through sheets of a polypropylene material that have pockets for your games to go into. There are also three stylus slots built into the case.
When I realized I was going to be putting my games inside plastic pockets, I was hesitant for a bit because as prior experience tells me, plastic tends to stretch over time, thus providing less of a snug fit for your games. While the DS games go into these pockets all the way, the 3DS games won’t fully go in due to their design. Despite this, both types of games will fit securely into your case even after a long period of use. The pocket will mold into the shape of your game, but it will still keep its tight hold on it.
To test its security, I did a few toss tests with a nearly full case, both unzipped and closed. The plastic sheets won’t protect your games from impact, so I wasn’t throwing my games onto hard surfaces. I was only seeing if the games would fly out if unzipped and tossed. After each toss, I also checked to see if the games shifted in their pockets, but nothing seemed to change after each test. No games flew out either or moved in their slots.
Closing Comments: I was really happy with Penguin’s 24X DS Game Carry Case, and stopped using my old plastic case as soon as I got this one. The case is only slightly wider and taller than a 3DS, and it feels sturdy overall. It also comes in a few nice colors to suit your personality and preference, and its design really helps keep your games safe. I highly recommend it.
