In NBA 2k11 we got the great Michael Jordan Challenge mode, where gamers got to live out MJ’s greatest games. The mode was a great pick-up and play and very addicting. Plus the team put in lots of effort to bring the older players and old stadiums to life, making the gameplay unique to the mode. This year they are going one step further with the new “NBA’s Greatest” Mode. Gamers will be able to relive professional basketball’s most memorable rivalries with 15 historic NBA teams and their greatest players, including Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Julius “Dr. J” Erving among other basketball icons.
But thats not all. The new mode will also allow NBA fans to settle the whole past vs present debate, and match Jordan’s Bulls against the Miami Heat’s “Big 3” of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh; Bird’s Celtics against the Lakers’ with Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol; and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s Lakers against the Orlando Magic with Dwight Howard.
