Today Blizzard Entertainment released the latest patch for it’s smash hit MMO World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. Patch 4.2 brings a slew of in-game changes and additions including; a new raid called The Firelands, a legendary DPS staff quest line, a large number of new and daily quest overhauls, PvP Season 10 and also the Dungeon Journal to the user interface. The Dungeon Journal offers gamers the chance to research and learn about each of the games various dungeons and the bosses located within. The patch also carries with it the normal class and game tweaks, we see in each patch.
Beyond the in-game changes, Blizzard is also overhauling the World of Warcraft Trial system. Gone are the 10 and 14 day trials. Now gamers will have the chance to try the entire original World of Warcraft game, up to level 20. This includes Draenei and Blood Elf characters. All you need to try the game out is a Battle.net account and you can jump right into World of Warcraft Starter Edition.
And the last announcement being made today is that through the Blizzard online store you can digitally purchase World of Warcraft and the first expansion The Burning Crusade for $19.99. And for those who haven’t made the jump into the game expansions and already own World of Warcraft you are getting the Burning Crusade starting today for Free!
