This evening at the Sony E3 Media Briefing we had a chance to spend some time with the latest adventure from Naughty Dog, Uncharted 3.

The multiplayer match we got a chance to play was a Team Deathmatch-styled match but the map had multiple sections.  It began with us fighting it out on a plane taking off down a runway while opponents were rushing up in big trucks.  As the plane makes it way down the runway, you can jump between the plane and the moving trucks so the action is quite similar to an action movie.

Once the plane takes off you find yourself moving to another part of the airfield where you then continue the deathmatch battle.  Throughout the match there are special power-ups that spawn on the map.  There are also specialized modifiers. For instance, at one point everyone but the leader turns “cursed” and becomes skeletons as they try to hunt the leader down.

The action and fighting is similar to prior Uncharted games and the graphics remain stellar.  My biggest issue was gun accuracy. The guns seemed to be way out of whack and would spray bullets all over.  To land shots, you really needed to tap and shoot in bursts. I really enjoyed the latest multiplayer installment of Uncharted 3 and those who are fans of the current game will feel right at home, with Uncharted 3.
