Revealed today at Sony’s E3 media briefing, Street Fighter X Tekken will be coming to the recently named PlayStation Vita. Game producer Yoshinori Ono also revealed that Cole McGrath from Sucker Punch’s inFamous titles will be appearing in the game as a playable character, exclusive to the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.

The game will run on the familiar Super Street Fighter IV engine and also feature Tekken characters and include tag battles for the first time in a Street Fighter game. The PS Vita version will allow you to touch the screen to perform attacks, but you can still use the face buttons to play the game as you would on the consoles.

Street Fighter X Tekken is scheduled to release for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2012. More details will come later about its PS Vita release date.
