(360/PC) The First Templar- This game sparks the slew of upcoming action games that have been non-existent at this point. Obviously developers have been focusing more on multiplayer titles for the most part, but there has always been a spot in my heart for co-operative hack-n-slash titles. They are great games to play with a friend or girlfriend and tend to be fun laid back experiences. So if you aren’t a shooter fan and you are looking for a new game then here you go. You are dropped into medieval times and step in the shoes of (you guessed it) The First Templars.
(360/PS3/PC) L.A. Noire- This game is already a worthy contestant for game of the year. We had the pleasure of seeing this game in action at PAX East and you can read our preview here. The game will put you in the shoes of an officer as you rise through the ranks solving cases and traveling in early Los Angeles. A big change in this title is that it isn’t your typical Rockstar experience, no shooting innocent people and acting like a sociopath. I feel that this shows Rockstar Games is becoming more mature and still offering great games. Unless you are a die hard serial killer, you won’t be disappointed in what you are going to experience. You can also expect the infamous humor in parts, as I detail in our preview.
(PC) The Witcher 2- A great computer RPG that is widely popular to the PC gamer crowd yet still widely unknown to other gamers. My friend actually described the first one to me by explaining to me that he could “bang whoever he wants” in the game. I am sure that isn’t the only good thing about the game, I also know that all the DLC that will come out for The Witcher 2 has been promised to be FREE which is also a good reason to pick up an engaging RPG that will have new content to further your experience.
(PC) Fable III- PC gamers rejoice because Lionhead/Microsoft heard your pleas for a new Fable for PC and have hooked you up. I enjoy every Fable game that comes out although some people give them a lot of crap. I feel like they are a fantastical experience in the RPG world and a lot more light-hearted than others. Also for $50 if you aren’t into the Witcher than this is definitely a good pick up and you can get achievements.
