After spending some time with the latest DLC for Call of Duty: Black Op, I’m quite happy to report that this latest DLC is a load of fun. With 5 new maps that offer a major shift in level design and an entirely new Zombie map, also with it’s own design changes, gives Black Ops gamers some much needed flavor with the Escalation DLC Pack. The biggest thing I noticed on the new multiplayer maps is that finally there is some nice sniper action available.
The next thing you’ll notice is that the maps seem much more complex, Hotel for one even offers elevators. But the number of floors, rooms and other areas on the maps seem much higher in number then the prior maps in the game.
The new Call of the Dead zombie map is inspired by zombie movie legend George Romero and his legendary movies. You find yourself on the set of his latest movie starring Danny Trejo, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robert Englund and Michael Rooker. Things go a bit wrong to say the least and you find yourself fighting off the zombie waves plus more! The zombie map like the other maps is much more complex then the prior zombie maps, and I found quite challenging.
Escalation for Call of Duty: Black Ops is a nice injection of flavor into the popular game. Snipers will finally be happy to get maps that offer a bit better design for their fighting tactics. Zombie fans will enjoy the new challenge and get a kick out of the cast. Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation Pack is available now for the Xbox 360 for 1200
