KontrolFreek the controller add-on enhancer’s are back to give gamers the edge on the latest release from EA Sports, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters with the release of the Tee Freek. Similar to the other controller add-ons the Tee Freek give gamers a simple way to improve their controllers ergonomics and and performance. At first I was very skeptical that I would notice any change in my game on the course, but right from my first stroke I noticed that I was able to achieve a much straighter swing. After playing I few holes I also found that I was able to hit 100% power more often then I was before using the Tee Freek. The reasoning behind this is fairly straight forward, the longer analog stick length allows you to make smaller movements with the thumbstick. At first the new thumbstick length will seem a bit odd but after time it’s not really noticeable.
Now is the Tee Freek worth it?? Depends on how hardcore of a gamer you are. It does feel good and overall I have seen a bit of improvement in my game, and even though it carries the name Tee Freek and even looks like a golf ball, truthfully the design is almost identical to the other Kontrol Freek products which means you’ll notice a bit of an edge in other games not just Tiger Woods. So for 9 bucks you’ll get a nice little add-on you can use in multiple games. Tee Freek and other Kontrol Freek products work with both he Xbox 360 and PS3 and can be purchased here.
