Cryptic has made it official. Players are now able to play Champions Online in a free-to-play model. Going with a similar route to Xbox Live offering a Gold Membership and Silver Membership.
After a little research I have found that they limit you in various locations here are a few:
1. You can not customize your archetype. Gold players can customize and choose their powers and abilities. Silver will have a predefined template.
2. You can not acquire more than 250 gold. Opposed to the Gold players who can acquire over 200,000

I don’t understand these restrictions but I am not going to try and figure out the logic. Regardless Cryptic’s character creation is usually amazing so I am letting continue downloading. Also this is the game they refused to bring to the Xbox like planned so I will be using my 360 controller.
