Yesterday Nintendo revealed its list of titles that will be available at launch with the release of the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on February 26.
Nintendogs + cats (Nintendo, ¥4,800)
Combat of Giants Dinosaur 3D (Ubisoft, ¥5,040)
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask (Level-5, ¥5,980)
Puzzle Bobble 3D (Square Enix, ¥4,980)
Ridge Racer 3D (Namco Bandai, ¥6,090)
Samurai Warriors Chronicle (Tecmo Koei, ¥6,090)
Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition (Capcom, ¥4,800)
Winning Eleven 3DSoccer (Konami, ¥5,800)
Nintendogs + cats is the only first party title that is being released at launch, but Nintendo does plan to release other first party titles this Spring. These include Steel Diver, PilotWings Resort, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. Other titles listed for a Spring 2011 include BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II, Super Monkey Ball 3D, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 3D, and Rabbids Time Travel. Their website also states that the battery life when playing 3DS games ranges from 3-5 hours but can last up to 8 hours when playing regular DS games. Completely charging the handheld’s battery can take up to 3.5 hours. Also, DSiWare that you bought can be transferred over to the 3DS, but there will be a limit as to how many titles you can transfer over.
