Throughout the month of January, Gamestop is offering shiny versions of legendary Pokémon Raikou, Entei, and Suicune available to download at their stores. Raikou will be available January 3 through January 9. Entei from January 17 through January 23, and Suicune from January 31 through February 6.
Not only will these Pokémon be shiny and have moves they normally can’t learn – Raikou has Weather Ball, Entei has Flare Blitz, and Suicune has Sheer Cold – but they will also play a crucial role in the upcoming Pokémon Black and White games, scheduled to be released March 6. Having all three legendary beasts in your Pokémon Black or White game lets you catch the rare Zoroak.
Toys “R” Us is also offering a promotion that lets players download Ash’s Pikachu to their parties between January 30 and Febuary 6. This Pikachu is also unique and has the moves Volt Tackle, Tail Whip, Thunderbolt, and Quick Attack.
To download any of these promotional Pokémon, just visit the appropriate retailer with a copy of Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, HeartGold, or SoulSilver and transfer them to your system via the game’s Mystery Gift function.
