Just in time for christmas the folks at Activision and Eutechnyx have given us a little NASCAR gift in the the form of the first Developer Diary and some new screenshots. The Dev Diary gives us a little overview of the game and the team working on it, as well as a look at some great looking gameplay!

Game looks nice but GT5 already has NASCAR in it. So for me to purchase this game Activision is going to come up with something special. It’s going to be hard to beat 3D plus gaming wheel support for that extra realism.

Listen the NASCAR in GT5 is horrid. Yes it looks kinda pretty, but it’s not a full fledge NASCAR game. FOr GT5 being this realistic racer, why do the NASCARs sound like jet planes? Why when you spin there are no roof flaps, and why can I race a NASCAR car on a street track in Europe? GT5 should have left NASCAR out of it, it’s such a poor representation of the sport. Overall I was really really really letdown with GT5.

I can see your point if your a hardcore NASCAR fan. A guy like me just wants to have fun and get an adrenaline rush from the intense sensation of speed. So there needs to be more than just racing around an oval track.
