I got word today through some people on Twitter and Facebook that the Kinect beta has begun. The person said they would be receiving the new dashboard update in a day or two, followed by Kinect hardware and a couple of games. It seems that the various people I’ve talked to were in the pervious Xbox Live preview program. It also seems the invites were going out in waves, as the first word of the beta hit a few weeks ago and the people I spoke with just got their emails. For all us(myself included) sitting and waiting lets hope Microsoft brings on some more beta people as we approach the Kinect launch. Keep our eye on youtube and other popular video sites as it’s only a matter of time before captured footage of the new dashboard and games are posted, as one downside of random betas, many don’t understand what an NDA means.
