**UPDATE** Sony is reporting everything is back up and running.
Today Sony is preforming scheduled maintenance on the Playstation Network. As per the Sony Blog:
Maintenance is expected to start at 8am Pacific and will last for several hours, until approximately 8:30pm Pacific. During this time, users won’t be able to access the PlayStation Store or Account Management, and may encounter some difficulty while signing in to PSN.
Also EA will be turning off the Online Pass registration system till tomorrow for the PS3, this means TIger Woods fans will have to wait a day to jump online. Everything should be back to normal in 24 hours or less.
