EA Launches 5 iPad Apps

This weekend saw the launch of Apples latest creation the iPad.  With its 9.7″ multi-touch screen, and the uptake of amazing games for the iphone, developers big and small have been clamoring for more handheld power from Apple.  With the launch of the iPad, many new apps have hit the iTunes Store.  EA has launched 5 apps that are made for the iPad, they are Scrabble, Tetris, Need For Speed Shift, Mirror’s Edge, and Command and Conquer Red Alert.  All these games use the iPads increased graphics power to deliver a much improved experience over their iPhone counterparts.  Scrabble also can be tethered to iPhones, allowing players to use their iPhones for their hidden letters, and the iPad acts solely as the game-board.  There are some real neat things ahead for the iPad and gaming, it will be interesting to see if more bigger name developers start pushing games to the mobile device in the future.
