During last nights Video Game Awards it was announced that the team that brought us The Beatles: Rock Band will be bringing Green Day: Rock Band to us next year. Unlike The Beatles: Rock Band, all Green Day tracks from the standalone disc will be exportable to Rock Band and Rock Band 2. Similar to The Beatles edition Greenday: Rock Band will feature the entire band and their likeness and also have art and venues critical to their career.
While Green Day is a great band, and was a constant artist in my Discman while in middle school, I don’t know if they have the same “it” factor that a band like The Beatles have to create a standalone game for. Either way for all you Green Day fans look for more DLC in the near future and the entire game late next year.
