Ubisoft launched Uplay.com Beta this week with the release of Assassins Creed 2. Uplay is their way to reward and assist their loyal customers. It breaks down to Uplay Win, Uplay Help, Uplay Share and Uplay Shop. The Uplay Beta is only has Win so far, but with plans to add the rest shortly. It is for Windows PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 games. Currently the beta is just for Assassins Creed 2, but the Uplay site shows Splinter Cell: Conviction and R.U.S.E. as well.
For gamers playing Assassins Creed 2 they can earn in game rewards just for playing and linking their account with Ubisoft’s Uplay.com. The rewards you can unlock include:
- A Xbox 360 Dashboard Theme
- A PlayStation 3 Premium Theme
- A PC wallpaper
- 5 additional Throwing Knives
- Altair’s Outfit
- Access to the Auditore Family Crypt (Uplay exclusive map)
So, we’re not talking about anything major, but it is nice to see a developer who values their customers and goes out of their way to give them a more enjoyable experience.
