Beatles Rock Band: SGT Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band Impressions

Let me start by saying that I am a Beatles fan. I grew up listening to their music by way of my parents and other family memebers. Naturally I grew to love them. Needless to say I was very excited about the inital relase of The Beatles: Rock Band game as well as any planned downloadable content. On November 17th, 2009, Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, the second full album release, became available for download via Xbox Live Marketplace for 1080 Microsoft Points. The pack includes 8 songs (although a shorter version of “Within You Without You” is included on the game disk). This album is considered by many to be one of The Beatles greatest albums. I however do not hold that same opinion. Don’t get me wrong. There are some great tracks on the album but those songs are already included on the game disk. The remaining songs just aren’t that good and are very forgetable. The best part about this content is that you can buy the tracks individually or altogether. The long and short of it is this piece of content is only for those die hard Beatles fans who want to collect everything they can. For the rest of us, save your points or if you haven’t already, get the Abbey Road content.
